» How do I find out the magnetic declination for my area?

» How long will the tritium last?
Tritium has a "Half-life" of almost twelve and a half years. Experience proves that the strength of tritium, between 10 and 12 years old, begins to decline rapidly. We generally tell people to expect "A good ten years" out of our tritium micro lights. Of course, the compass may be used for longer periods of time, but the night time luminous feature will fade rapidly after 10-12 years.
» I lost my instruction booklet, how can I get another?
Simply e-mail your request to us and provide your name and mailing address. A replacement Instructional Booklet will be sent to you at no charge.
» Is the cost of custom engraving refundable?
The engraving that you receive will exactly match the lettering that you enter in to the optional text box. The cost of custom engraving is non-refundable.
» Is the lensatic compass liquid filled?
No! Only cheap, imported imitations of the CAMMENGA lensatic compass contain liquid. CAMMENGA lensatic compasses slow the needle via induction dampening and avoid the problems associated with liquid fill.
» What font will the engraving be done in?
All engraving is done in Times New Roman font. The size of the font depends on the number of characters to be engraved.
» What is the "SWAT" version lensatic compass?
The SWAT model is the same as Model 3H except for the color. Model 3H is military olive drab. Model B3H, also known as the "SWAT" version is finished with a low luster black powder coat finish. It is popular with a variety of law enforcement agencies.
» What is the difference in Model 27 and Model 27CS, or 3H and 3HCS?
The "CS" designation in our model numbers stands for "Clam Shell" packaging. There is no difference in the compass itself. "CS" models do, however, include a 10 page instruction booklet which is not included when the compass is ordered without retail packaging.

» Are any special promotions available to groups other than Boy Scouts?
Yes, we can offer most established scouting groups a similar program. Please contact matt@cammenga.com with your requests.
» Is CAMMENAGA affiliated with the Boy Scouts of America?
CAMMENGA CORP is not affiliated nor has any relationship with the Boy Scouts of America. The BSA does not benefit financially from participation in this program. The BSA has not provided any membership information (including names, addresses, or membership status) to CAMMENGA CORP, nor has it endorsed this Free Compass Program. Rather, this is a program CAMMENGA CORP has instituted in support of, and as an outreach to, the BSA, Scouts and Scout leaders.

No, the EASYLOADER only works with rifles and sub-machine guns.
» Do you sell stripper clips?
We do not sell stripper clips.
» What is the difference between an REL7.62x39SKS and an REL7.62x39AK-47?
The loader is virtually the same except that the AK version has been specially modified to accept most all AK-47 magazines.

NOTHING, if shipped within the United States. All retail prices are shown as "Delivered" prices. Shipping is paid for by CAMMENGA. Shipping charges are added to orders delivered outside of the United States.
